Enjoy this four hour snowmobile trip in and around Longyearbyen!

It isn’t necessary to travel far away from the settlement to experience remote wilderness and solitude of the Arctic.

This route is varied and we will drive snowmobiles through narrow, picturesque valleys and over impressive glaciers. Frequent stops will allow you to take pictures of stunning panoramic landscapes as well as capture some of the best scenery surrounding Longyearbyen.

The tour is ~70 km of driving and gives you a fantastic overview of Svalbard’s nature, wildlife, and human history.

This is the perfect excursion if you’re interested in a taste of Svalbard and experiencing Longyearbyen’s backyard playground!

Required:

‍-Persons driving a snowmobile must ensure that their driving license is valid on Svalbard and within any questions, contact responsible authorities. The validity of the driving license shall be confirmed by the participants in written form prior to the tour starts. The participation can be refused if necessary. No refunds will be given due to an invalid driver's license. The valid driving license is to be carried with the participant during the whole tour.

-Warm hat (i.e. beanie)

-Thick socks (preferably wool, 2x)

-Base layers (preferably wool, 2x)

-Insulating mid-layer (e.g. wool sweater)

-Shell jacket and shell pants (wind and waterproof)

Recommended:

-Contact lenses if you use glasses for driving (it is extremely difficult to wear glasses under snowmobile goggles)

-Camera and extra batteries (batteries die very quickly in the cold)

-Hand and foot warmers

-Thin liner gloves
